Sixteen Gold Coast based not for profit organisations, including Bravehearts Inc, the Gold Coast Centre Against Sexual Violence and Volunteering Gold Coast, are leading the way by participating in the first ever sustainability cluster program for not for profit organisations in Australia.
This eight month program will enable participating organisations to support each other to reduce their environmental impact, save money, increase funding and improve staff morale. Rather than working on their own, each service can benefit from the experiences of others that are facing the same challenges that the not for profit sector faces.
According to Shasi Johnston, Managing Director of Coefficiency, “each of these organisations tirelessly provide vital services to our community and should be commended for also recognising their responsibility to our environment.”
Coefficiency has been funded by the Queensland Government and Bond University’s Institute of Sustainable Development and Architecture to lead this program.
